Did you know that 'kabbadi' is primarily a South Asian sport and the name is derived from Tamil word Kai (hand) and pidi (catch)? It is believed to be more than 4,000 years old. It is a team sport, which requires both skill and power, and combines the characteristics of wrestling and rugby. In southern parts of India, it is also known as 'hu-tu-tu'.
